The service
PostMicroTools offers free calculators, utilities and reference pages for post-production and visual effects work. The site is operated by Furiosa Studio (Barcelona, Spain). No account is needed and the tools run entirely in your browser.
Use the numbers as a professional aid, not as a guarantee
The tools are built from published specifications and verified against them, and each page explains where its figures come from. Even so, they are provided as is, without warranties of any kind. Some results are estimates by nature (delivery bitrates, for example, depend on the encoder and the content) and the pages say so. Delivery specifications change and each client or platform may add its own requirements.
Before you commit to a delivery, a budget or a storage purchase, confirm the critical values with the official source, your facility and your client. Furiosa Studio is not liable for losses arising from decisions taken on the basis of the tools, to the extent permitted by law.
Your files stay yours
Files you open in the tools are processed locally and are never uploaded, so we do not receive, store or claim any right over them. You are responsible for having the right to use the material you open.
Acceptable use
Don't attempt to disrupt the site, overload it with automated requests or use it for anything unlawful. You may link to any page and share calculation URLs freely.
Content and trademarks
The site's text, design and code are the work of Furiosa Studio. Product names mentioned (ProRes, DNxHR, ARRIRAW, BRAW, Netflix and others) belong to their respective owners and are used only to describe compatibility and specifications; PostMicroTools is not affiliated with or endorsed by them.

Advertising and voluntary support
The site shows ads served by Google AdSense (see the privacy policy). Contributions made from the support page are voluntary, unlock nothing and do not create a subscription to any service; if you believe a payment was made in error, write to us and we will sort it out.

We may update these terms; the current version is always on this page. These terms are governed by Spanish law.
